JetBlue add services to RDU!
April 14th, 2006
Four daily flights to JFK starting service from July, also Charlotte was painted blue. This is good news to folks who will travel to new york a lot, the price is $69 for 21 advance purchase. Considering all seats will have free satellite TV to enjoy during the flight, that is not bad, the plane is the bigger 100 seats Embraer 190s, definitely better than the 40 seats commuter ERJ plane that I am used to. If I am going to take personal trip, JetBlue is a no-brainer to go to NYC.
JFK is JetBlue’s hometown and has daily multiple service to the west coast, now SouthWest has a serious competitor to challenge its 39% passenger volume growth in the first two month of year 2006. This will also endanger the commuter jet service to NYC that is offered by AA, Delta or US Airshuttle.
JetBlue will fill the empty terminal A gates left by Indepency airline since its bankrupcy in late 2005.
